Notification Settings

You can configure the notifications that Alteryx One Platform sends to your email address and other related settings.

Note

Notifications might need to be enabled in your environment. For more information, go to the Workspace Settings Page.

Tip

If you've enabled visual profiling, Alteryx One includes a PDF version of the profile of the job results as an attachment to the email.

To configure notifications...

  1. Select the profile icon from the top navigation bar.

  2. Select User Preferences.

  3. Select Notifications from the left menu.

The following sections outline the different configuration scenarios that trigger notifications. You can also configure the email delivery address, time zone, and other notification settings.

Email Delivery Address

If needed, notification emails are sent to a different email address. Note that this doesn't change your account email address. You might change your delivery email address if:

  • Your login email address can't receive email.

  • You want to deliver an email notification to an alias within your enterprise.

  • You want to deliver your email notification to a 3rd-party application.

Timezone

Select the timezone from the dropdown that Alteryx One uses to display the date in the notifications.

Notification Events

You can configure notification preferences to receive Email or In-App alerts for specific events. To enable a notification, select the checkbox next to the event. There are separate checkboxes for Email and In-App notifications.

General

System Updates

Receive notifications about general system activity, such as password changes, workspace invitations, and planned maintenance. The checkbox for Email notifications is selected by default for System Updates.

Collaboration

Requests

Receive notifications when a user requests access to one of your assets. The Email notifications checkbox is selected by default.

Sharing Updates

Receive notifications when an asset is shared with you or transferred to your account. You can select or clear the Email and In-App notifications checkbox as needed.

Jobs

Trifacta Classic Jobs

Receive notifications for job activity in Designer Cloud (Trifacta Classic Experience). You can select or clear the Email notifications checkbox as needed.

Plan Runs

Receive notifications when a plan run starts, completes, encounters an error, or other related activities. You can select or clear the Email and In-App notifications checkbox as needed.

Other

OAuth Token Expiration

Receive notifications when your OAuth token is about to expire. You can select or clear the Email notifications checkbox as needed.
